selling my much loved 1970 Landover series 2a 109 ambulance. she is taxed exempt and mot'd until march 2016 so is ready to use at the show circuit.

I bought this back in October 2011 where it was my intention to refrub a series ambulance, as I do like the look of this classic Landover and it's my second time in owning one. so in January 2012 I started to strip this Landover down anything that was rusted to hell was binned, including the chassis and bulkhead, as these were beyond repair. basically I bought a total heap (one the worst one's I've ever seen) but I do like a challenge as the previous owner had made a hash of it turning it into a camper. after 2 years it was finished in march 2014. since then I've only covered just over 530 mile with no issues. my most recent outings was at the 2015 Llandudno transport show may bank holiday wk-end and she drove well with no issues.

I've replaced the old chassis with one I've had in my garage since 2002 using a late series 3 109 ffr 1 ton chassis plus the bulkhead both are in very good condition. I've replaced almost everything that was beyond repair including all nuts, bolts & screws with stainless one's. brand new genuine landrover/oem parts to include, springs all round (British made one's), new brakes and pipes, front axel rebuild and shot blasted, new rear axel (both Salisbury's) new doors (top & bottom), new mod spec front seats, new genuine landrover front bonnet, new light fittings all-round, new shocks, twin fuel tanks, back body has had new hardboard fitted along with lambs wool insulation, plus many other new parts uesd.

also I've fitted a landrover discovery 200 tdi which I've had since 2006 and is in excellent running order before I carried this procedure I was given professional advice on how to fit it and by removing the turbo this would have a lot stress on the engine and running gear but she still performs well pulling 30 mpg @ 55-60mph. I've had 70 out of her but you've got to have balls of steel. the cam belt was change in 2010. gear box again is in excellent running order. this landrover will give you plenty more years to come. 

the only reason why I am selling is that I cannot tow my sankey trailer mobile field kitchen, I've looked ways into this not unless I seriously modify the ambi or sankey in which case I do not want to do this. so I need a new vehicle to tow my sankey trailer.

I do have some used spare parts that will come with this ambi.

this landrover has got dents left in the body work, to me this gives the look that it's seen army service, so if you want a concourse vehicle then please look elsewhere. she is in very good condition inside and out as well underneath.

the bed is included with the ambi (but not the camo cover) the twin air horns and the ATU brackets that are mounted on the wings are not for sale and will be removed. the blue light is a non-working one , but still needs to be covered to comply with the road traffic act whilst on the public road.

I will only accept payments by personal cheque (must be cleared first before ambi is released), bankers transfer (for which I prefer) and cash as a last resort unless you agree to me using a detection device to check for counterfeit notes.

and just one last word if you do come and view this ambulance, please don't waste my time & yours by saying that you'll buy it, but could I keep it for a few more wks while you get the funds or would I take a p/x the answer is NO and sorry I will not drive this vehicle to your location for you to have a look at.
